No markup on the metal. No commissioned salesmen. One flat yearly fee that never grows with your balance. Set it up online in minutes.
The yearly fee is rarely the problem. The markup is. A quiet 5% to 10% (sometimes 20% or more) gets added to every ounce to pay for the TV ads and the commissioned reps. You cover all of it, on every ounce, for as long as you own the metal.
Think Costco, but for your retirement metal. We make our money on one honest membership fee, not by marking up every ounce.
Most of these are good companies. Their model just works this way: national advertising and sales teams cost money, and that cost lives in the price of your metal. We built ours the other way.
That "you keep" number up top is just year one. The metal you never got to buy never grows for you either, and over the life of your IRA, that lost growth dwarfs the markup itself. Move the numbers and see for yourself.

If your metal is sitting with another company, there's a good chance a markup is costing you every single year. And you already understand why, which is the hard part. Moving it to a true-cost, flat-fee account is a simple transfer, with no tax hit and no penalty. See what switching could save you.
No phone tag, and no paperwork landing on your desk.
Answer a few questions online and we set up your self-directed IRA with a licensed custodian.
Roll over a 401(k) or transfer an existing IRA, tax-free and penalty-free. We handle the paperwork with your custodian.
You pick your gold and silver at true cost; we buy it and ship it insured to an IRS-approved vault, held in your IRA's name.
That's the part that should put you at ease. From the first dollar to the last ounce, your funds and your gold move through regulated, third-party institutions, never through us. The whole thing is set up by a team with 10+ years in precious-metals IRAs.
Your IRA funds, from a 401(k) rollover or an IRA transfer.
Your money goes straight here to buy your gold & silver, at true cost.
Held in your IRA's name: segregated, insured, and audited.
When you buy, your funds go directly to our metals partner to purchase your gold and silver. We never hold it, route it, or take a cut of it. Your account itself is administered by a licensed IRA custodian. [e.g. "A U.S.-based custodian, 20+ years, overseeing $X billion in retirement assets."]
Our metals partner sends your gold and silver directly to your secure, IRS-approved depository, straight from dealer to vault. It never passes through our hands either. [e.g. "A U.S.-based, fully insured depository."]
Your metal sits in the depository in your IRA's name and fully segregated. Your ounces are kept apart from everyone else's, never pooled, and the metal is insured and independently audited.
Getting you set up and buying metal at true cost is just the start. We don't sign you up and hand you off. We stay in touch with important updates and reminders, and we're here whenever you have a question or want to buy more metal. You're our client, and we treat you that way. Our pay is one flat yearly fee, and nothing else.
The commitments this whole company is built on, in writing.
We won't insult you with a gimmicky "lowest price guaranteed." Margins on metal sold at true cost are razor-thin, and any dealer can undercut everyone for a day by dumping inventory. Here is the promise we stand behind: the price you see is the price you pay, with no markup hidden inside it. We'll show you how to log in, pick any IRS-approved metal, and see your actual real-time price. Then check it against any dealer you like, at that same moment. Comparing in real time is the only test that means anything, and we welcome it.
"My parents did everything right and still lost it. So did I. After more than twenty years in alternative assets, I could see where clients were overpaying, and it was never the fees. It was the markup buried inside the metal itself. So we stopped handing that part off and built MetalsReserveIRA: metal at our actual cost, with no hidden dealer spread and no one steering you into whatever product pays the most."
Richard Amburn Founder, MetalsReserveIRA Read the full story →Every account comes with StackBeacon, a modern system for tracking and understanding your gold and silver.
StackBeacon is a serious, data-driven tracker. It shows you what you hold and what it's worth today, and it tells the story behind your stack instead of just counting ounces.
The highest level of StackBeacon: a private analyst layer that reads the charts and the bigger economic picture, then tells you what it means for your stack. Included free on accounts of $75,000 and up.
No catch. Most companies quote a small yearly fee and then mark up the metal 5–20%, which costs you far more. We flipped it: the metal is sold at actual dealer cost, and the flat fee ($650 the first year, $600 after) is how we get paid. On a typical rollover you come out thousands ahead in year one, even with the fee.
Yes. You can open your account, roll over funds, and buy metal entirely online. If you'd rather talk to someone, you can. You'll never get a commissioned rep pushing "special" coins, because we don't employ any.
In an IRS-approved, fully insured depository, stored in your IRA's name. It never sits at our office or gets mixed in with company assets, and you can see what you own at any time in StackBeacon.
IRS-eligible gold, silver, platinum, and palladium: coins and bars that meet the purity rules. You'll see eligible products and any minimums when you start your account online.
Done correctly, no. A direct rollover from a 401(k), or a trustee-to-trustee transfer from an existing IRA, moves your money without triggering taxes or early-withdrawal penalties. We coordinate the paperwork with your custodian so it's handled the right way. (This isn't tax advice. For your situation, check with your tax professional.)
While the metal is inside your IRA, IRS rules require it to stay with the custodian at an approved depository. That's what keeps its tax-advantaged status. Once you're eligible to take a distribution, you can have the physical metal shipped to you, or sell it and take the cash. Taking possession early can count as a taxable distribution, so most people wait. (Not tax advice. Confirm the timing with your tax professional.)
Traditional IRAs require you to begin taking minimum distributions at the age the IRS sets. You can meet an RMD by selling a portion of your metal for cash, or by taking some of the physical metal as an in-kind distribution, and your custodian helps you handle either. (Roth IRAs generally have no RMDs during your lifetime; your tax professional can confirm what applies to you.)
Whenever you're ready, you can sell your metal back to our metals partner, which offers some of the strongest buyback prices in the industry and will even buy metals you bought somewhere else, or liquidate through your custodian. Selling inside the IRA doesn't trigger a penalty; the proceeds stay in your account until you choose to take a distribution.
Your $600 is the only bill you ever see. Out of that one fee, we pay these companies directly, on your behalf. Their costs come out of our $600, never as extra charges to you:
Exact dollar figures are being finalized and will be published here.
The whole thing, self-serve, in about ten minutes. You'll never wait on a rep to call you back.
Bring your questions and we'll answer them plainly. Nobody here earns a commission, so nobody has a reason to push.
Grab our free Dealer Red-Flag Guide, the 7 things worth checking before you move a single dollar into metals. You'll see how markups and pressure tactics work, so you can spot them anywhere (yes, including with us). We'll send along the occasional note worth reading, too.
We'll get your copy of the Dealer Red-Flag Guide over to you. Take your time with it; we'll be here whenever you're ready.
Most gold IRA companies advertise low or "free" setup fees, then cover the cost of national ads, endorsers, and sales teams through a markup baked into the metal price. You never see it on an invoice. That's just how the ad-driven model works: someone pays for all of it, and it's usually you.
